How to migrate from Pocket to wallabag
Pocket has shut down. Here is a step-by-step guide to export your Pocket reading list and import it into wallabag.it in a few minutes.
Pocket has shut down. If you have been saving articles for years, you probably have a reading list you do not want to lose. The good news: migrating to wallabag.it takes about ten minutes.
Step 1 — Export your Pocket data
Before or after your Pocket account closes, you can export your reading list:
- Go to getpocket.com/export
- Download the export file — a CSV containing all your saved URLs
If you can no longer access your Pocket account, check whether you received an export email from Mozilla.
Step 2 — Create a wallabag.it account
Head to wallabag.it and start your 14-day free trial. No credit card required, no commitment.
Step 3 — Import your Pocket data
- In your wallabag account, open Import in the left-hand menu
- Select Pocket
- Upload the CSV file from Step 1
- wallabag.it fetches the full content of each article automatically
Your articles will appear in your reading list within a few minutes. Tags from Pocket are preserved.
Step 4 — Set up your apps
